1. Shane Told (lead singer of Silverstein for all you wankstas who don’t know of him already.) I imagine we’d talk NCAA hoops. Plus he fronts my ALL TIME fave band

2. Brad Brownell, (Clemson’s Men’s Basketball coach) — i’d love to talk shop with him and find out how he plans to improve our (Clemson’s) team in the off season

3. Gwen Stefani — because she fronts one of the bands (No Doubt) I’ve loved since I was 15 or so. (I’m now older than dirt, by the way). Plus I love LOVE LOVE all her harajuku lovers designs. I have most of the perfumes she’s created, and I even have one of the Harajuku Mini berets she designed that I love to wear.

Oh and i wish all the love and luck in the world to Witchita State this weekend. Soon to be National Champs baby! <3

my first silverstein tune was “my heart bleeds no more” with wil francis from aiden recorded live… yes, i didn’t discover this wonderful band until 18 candles came out. shame on me!

“Bleeds No More” was the first silverstein tune I ever heard. Gah, girl you’re taking me back to all my Silverstein-filled memories. I love those five guys far more than they’ll ever fucking know.

So This is How the WInd Shifts is absolutely epic, in both terms of song structure and subject matter. FInally figured out my fave tracks.. “A Better Place” and “Departures” are currentty tied for first in my eyes. ABP reminds me of Nanny Hasn’t even been a year since we lost her… so yes the chorus brings tears to my eyes.

Futher I have determined that if I don’t get to see this band live soon, and tell these dudes what they mean to me that I might spontaneously combust!

T minus 5 days and counting til This is How the Wind Shifts by Silverstein comes out. Yeah I’m dorky enough over this band to preorder the vinyl and the version with extra songs on itunes —BOTH. Super-stoked to see the interview with Shane Told in this month’s AP.

Speaking of AP, PTV is on the cover,. I luckily got the cover with Jaime and Tony on the cover in the mail. I really need to hit up my local bookstore and get the cover with the band and with the bros Fuentes too. I guess right now PTV, MCR, and OLP would be my seconds in command along with Slingshot Dakota, who remind me of a cross between Candy Hearts and Jenny Lewis and Rilo KIley.

In non related to the scene news, Clemson Men’s Basketball went to 4 and 4 in ACC play. Super happy to see them on an upward swing. Hoping that they can continue to win and do more than break even for the year. I wanna an invitation the the Big Dance, baby! Yeah my inner Dick Vitale is coming out! Lookout! On a side note, I’m really gonna miss Milton Jennings when he graduates after this season. I’m immensely enjoying Rod Hall as a ball handler, and KJ Mc Daniels’ all around game is intense!

Duke took it to Wake Forest in Winston Salem last night. I was proud of them for getting a hard-fought ACC road win! I’m really gonna miss Mason Plumlee after this season.

The ACC is so balanced this year in terms of inexperienced teams, except maybe Miami and FSU, who have a lot of seniors. And also, happen to be at the top of the league, which is weird as hell. Of course, UNC lost a lot of players, so that explains why they’re middle of the pack,. But believe me UNC is WAY more fun to beat when they’re good than when they’re mediocre.

Oh and how about NC State being back in the top 25?! I love it. Jimmy V’s probably having a party about it up in Heaven. I hate to say it but Wood’s a PTPer, and fun to watch so long as Duke or Clemson isn’t playing them!

After hearing Massachusetts, I’m more pumped than ever for Feb. 5, 2013. Can’t wait to get my $85 worth of my boys. These guys are my favourite band. And that’s no small feat for somebody who listens to as much music as i do.

Have you read the Morganville Vampires series by any chance?? That series is awesome. On another note, I absolutely canNOT wait for Beautiful Creatures to come out in the movie theater. Emmy Rossum (a hell of an actress) will be playing Ridley. so that should make the movie interesting.

Our stadium is named after the Clemson students who gave their lives in the service of our country. Your stadium is named after a female booster.

It is 5 football fields from Tillman Hall to the 50 yard line of Frank Howard Field. It is one and a half miles from the Horseshoe to the 50 yard line at Williams-Brice.

To get to our stadium, you walk through a park dedicated to all the Clemson students who gave their lives in the armed forces. To get to your stadium, you pass an empty fairground, railroad tracks, warehouses, liquor stores and parking lots.

Our coach embraces the history and tradition of Clemson Football. Your coach disavows everything that came before him (East Carolina game quotes 9/8/12); after moving to #3 in the AP poll, “That is a school record”- he was then informed that the 1984 SCar team rose to #2 before losing to Navy (Greenville News 10/8/2012)

We lost a bowl game by 37 points and it is considered one of the lowest points in the history of our program. You lost the SEC Championship game by 39 points and that appearance is one of the highlights of your program.

Our coach honored the scholarship of a high school student who suffered a stroke after he verbally committed to Clemson and will likely never walk again. (Jake Nicolopulos). Your coach pulled a scholarship offer on the day before signing day to a player who had been committed for months who was an orphan and spent the majority of his childhood as a ward of the state. (Lorenzo Mauldin).

Our coach proposed a plan to generate revenue for schools by playing an exhibition game against regional universities that was lauded by his peers. Your coach proposed paying amateur student athletes in revenue sports only.

Our coach goes on national television after a huge win and says “I can’t think of a better place …than Death Valley, South Carolina!”. Your coach, after arguably the biggest win in school history, presents himself with the game ball.

Our coach uses his bonus money from winning the ACC Championship to provide additional pay for his assistant coaches. Your coach became a member of Augusta National after signing his contract.

Our program helped a scholarship athlete gain custody and care for his 11 year old little brother, then created an endowment to ensure his higher education. Your program frequently refuses to renew scholarships to players who aren’t deemed good enough to play. (Grayson Mullins, Bryce Sherman, Tramell Williams, Andrew Clifford, Seaver Brown, Kevin Young, etc…)

Our coach leads the nation in APR (academic progress rate), your coach doesn’t even realize that 18 year-olds can vote (Greenville News 11/6/2012)

After the games, our kids play football and soccer with scores of other kids while we continue to tailgate for hours. After your games, there are four armed robberies and a shooting (Clemson 2011), two mob assaults and another shooting (Mizzu 2012), felony DUI with a flipped car and 41 other arrests (Georgia 2012).

We suspended our best player for two games, including one of the biggest games of the season for a misdemeanor arrest for which he underwent PTI and had the arrest removed from his record. Your best player was arrested in 2/2007 for public intoxication (age 19) and again in March of that year for keying a professor’s car. In March of 2008 he was arrested for underage drinking and that same night had the police come to his dorm for pulling a fire alarm and discharging a fire extinguisher. He was suspended from practice for violating team rules during a bowl trip in December of 2010 and was suspended again in April of 2011 for causing a disturbance at a SEC-mandated meeting, where he was reportedly intoxicated. Despite all this, he never missed a game until he was finally kicked off the team in October of 2011 for failing a substance abuse screening.

We won Southern Living’s “The South’s Best Tailgate” competition in 2012. South Carolina had a fan arrested for mooning the crowd at the LSU game in Baton Rouge 11/13/2012

Clemson Memorial Stadium was named as the top venue in college football by Bleacher Report (2012), Williams-Brice Stadium was noted by the Wall Street Journal as having the shortest distance from the stadium to a Waffle House in the SEC (10/3/2012).

So… I just found out Neil Boshart left Silverstein apparently? This… I can’t verbalize how this makes me sad. He’s one-fifth of the band I love, and always will be part of the band even if he isn’t in the band. So yes one fifth of my heart is crushed currently. This is like when Chris Francisco left Dezeray’s Hammer back in the day. Gonna have to go mourn a bit. Totally different genres of music but same damn feelings.

so another silverstein fan originally posted that line, but i felt the need to reiterate.

I’m sitting here currently scratching my head cos of P1 antibodies.

I just can’t concentrate to solve an antibody panel right now.

Part of this problem seems to be because the article is on my computer screen and not on paper… yeah.

The other part seems to be I’m willing to let anything distract me?

ASCP one hour courses usually take longer than an hour. Wah.
